Your Gift Matters
Few investments yield a greater return than the gift of health and quality of life.
Lake Sunapee Region VNA & Hospice is a registered 501c3 non-profit home health care organization. As such, charitable donations made for its benefit are tax-deductible as allowed by law. As a non-profit, all donations are re-invested into the care provided to thousands in more than 25 towns in Grafton, Merrimack and Sullivan counties in New Hampshire. Tens of thousands of dollars are dedicated each year to free or reduced cost programs that we feel are vital, but that are not paid for by insurances or other sources.
The ongoing generosity of patients, families, friends, businesses and organizations is essential to sustain exceptional home health care, hospice, palliative care and personal care services and to support the dedicated employees who are essential to our success.
Thank you!
Ways of Giving
Unrestricted Gifts
When a gift is made to the general fund (i.e. “unrestricted”), you do not specify or direct how you wish your donation to be used. Rather, you trust us to allocate the gift to where it is most needed.
Restricted Gifts
When making restricted gifts, you specify where you would like your gift to be used. Examples include hospice, respite, computer technology, wellness programs and more.
Memorial Donations
A memorial gift is a deeply personal way to honor the lives and memories of loved ones we have lost.
Living Tributes
Paying tribute to special people in our lives with a donation in their honor brings joy to both the donor and the individual being recognized. The Grateful Hearts program is an opportunity for patients and families to express gratitude to staff members while supporting our care and services.
Special Events
Attending and/or sponsoring one of the agency’s special events is a more social way to show your support.

Types of Gifts
Cash
The simplest and most common way to give is with a check payable to LSRVNA. Credit cards are also accepted.
Securities
Gifting appreciated securities such as stock generally can have a two-fold benefit: the tax deduction is equal to the fair market value of the donated asset and capital gains is generally avoided.
Tangible Property
Personal property such as art, jewelry, antiques, products, services and more can be donated. Our Renaissance Shoppe is a high quality resale shop that may be the perfect new home for items you no longer need or wish to donate.
Real Estate
A gift of real estate, such as a primary residence or vacation home, can have many benefits. Donors generally enjoy a tax deduction equal to the fair market value of the property and often avoid capital gains.
Matching Gifts
Many companies will match donations from current or retired employees. Please inquire at your company’s human resources office to learn about their specific guidelines and to obtain a matching gift form.
Planned Giving
Through wills, trusts and other planned gifts, donors help to ensure the future strength of Lake Sunapee Region VNA & Hospice. By naming the agency as a beneficiary in your estate plans, you become a member of the Dr. John L. Norris Society and make a lasting commitment to our work and mission.
